As the year's second half approaches, Northeast Ohio consumers are excited to see what's next for the Volvo XC40. As Volvo becomes more popular in the electric vehicle market, the luxury compact SUV XC40 will be receiving a plethora of updates. Let's check out the latest news.
The 2023 Volvo XC40
So far, we know three trims will be available for the XC40: The Core, Plus, and Ultimate. For each trim, consumers will have the option to choose between either a plug-in hybrid or a petrol version. For the hybrid model, we can expect an equivalent all-electric range of 28 miles and an EPA-estimated combined rate of 134.5 miles per gallon. The petrol option, however, will only offer 42 miles per gallon in an effort to sway customers towards going electric.
New Aesthetics & Features
The 2023 XC40 will undergo a luxurious facelift, modeling after the C40, with a redesigned front bumper, front fog lights, Thor Hammer LED headlights, and grille plate. More attractive than ever, the XC40 will wow consumers with a sharp and dynamic look, with two new paint color options such as Fjord Blue and Sage Green.
All-wheel-drive will be made available on higher trims, and charging time for the hybrid has been reduced substantially to about 30 minutes now with a 150 kilowatt DC charger. With standard Android technology, Volvo will provide high-tech features like Google Assistant for drivers to operate seamlessly.
